Overview

With a mix of theory and hands-on Lab exercises, the delegate will have the opportunity to use the Command Line Interface (CLI), and Storage Management Utility (SMU) to properly configure and manage the storage environment, and gain access to the controller system logs.  

Pre-requsities

An appreciation of Storage Fundamentals, and MSA technologies is desirable although not essential as a MSA product overview along with iSCSI and RAID concepts will be covered as part of this one day training course

Objectives

Upon successful completion of this course, the student will have the skills and knowledge to:

• Correctly prepare the MSA2000i for host connection
• Carry our Removal and Replacement Procedures
• Connect the MSA2000i to multiple hosts using HP best practices
• Carry out controller software updates
• Configure the controllers for single and dual host connection
• Use the Command Line Interface (CLI), and Storage Management Utility (SMU) to correctly configure the Storage Environment
• Access the controllers system logs
