HOST / Qlogic Converged Infrastructure Event As previously, this one day event will be held at HOST's residential training facility at Haughton Hall where you will have the opportunity to meet with other IT professionals whilst gaining an insight into the latest HP and QLogic technologies with a view to helping your customers to reduce costs, increase efficiency and be adaptable to ever changing business demands. The speakers are subject matter experts from both HOST and Qlogic and you will be able to engage in discussions focused on fabric convergence, the adoption of Fibre Channel over Ethernet (FCoE) and Converged Enhanced Ethernet (CEE), along with the current level of standards in defining an end-to-end converged infrastructure. In addition to the presentations, there will be practical demonstrations and opportunity to participate in ‘hands-on’ sessions. The topics and demonstrations for the day will include: - Introducing the convergence of HP SAN Management in a heterogeneous SAN: HP Simple SAN Connection Manager with Virtual Connect Enterprise Manager and Transparent Routing
- Evolving the EVA to FCoE with the MPX200 allowing FC, iSCSI and FCoE concurrent environments
- The evolution of HP BladeSystem Virtual Connect, Flex-10: Flex-Fabric
- Convergence from Server to Edge with Converged Enhanced Ethernet (CEE), and Fibre Channel over Ethernet (FCoE)
Lunch will be provided and tea, coffee and light refreshments served throughout the day. Introduction to SANs This updated Introduction to SANs course comprises comprehensive technical training that teaches the skills needed for planning, installing, configuring and managing HP Storage Area Networks (SANs). The concepts presented are reinforced through a series of comprehensive practical hands-on assignments. The course is intended for HP Services field engineers, call center personnel, Presales and Channel Partners and other field personnel who provide installation and/or operational support assistance for HP StorageWorks SANs. Course Name: Introduction to SANs Course Number: 189939 Duration: 5 days Price: £1,825.00 (ex VAT) Available Dates: 8th November 2010, 17 January 2011, 7th March 2011 This course and it’s associated exam (HP0-J42) are part of the HP AIS StorageWorks (2008) certification. ProLiant and Blade certification upgrades Training courses to support the recently released 2010 versions of the HP ProLiant and BladeSystem certifications are now available on our schedule. HP recommends that certifications are upgraded as soon as possible to gain knowledge of the latest product offerings and be able to consult confidently and credibly with customers. For those involved in the HP Gold Partner Specialisation Programme, 2010 certification versions have become a requirement for H2 criteria (deadline 28th February 2011) For clarification of your current certifications and/or details of how to upgrade, please contact a member of HOST staff.
2010 SNIA Schedule The Storage Network Industry Association (SNIA) certifications are held in high regard amongst storage professionals, employers and customers - as all the major storage vendors support SNIA – The Storage Networking Industry Association’s efforts to create open systems and cooperation on a worldwide level.
