November 2008 HOST launched a new website, providing a simple and quick method for finding and navigating to courses and descriptions, in addition to a 9 month rolling schedule. Since the launch of the new site we have significantly extended the range of courses on offer; such as our

HP LeftHand Solutions HP recently announced the acquisition of LeftHand Networks. As of the 1st of June, HP have released an AIS speciality training track as part of the HP certified Professional program. This consists of two prerequisite web based courses leading up to an instructor lead course. HOST will be announcing delivery dates for the ILT course “HP LeftHand P4000 SAN Solutions – Install and Configure” in the near future. AIS Speciality in HP LeftHand SAN Solutions (2009)

VMware Training
Virtualization is becoming as pervasive as Microsoft Windows became in the 1990s, VMware standing out as market leaders in this technology. Increasingly products and solutions are being developed with expertise in virtualization as a core requirement. Even a basic understanding is going to be of enormous value to most IT professionals. Responding to requests from our students HOST are pleased to offer a cost effective 4 day course; “Virtualisation with VMware ESX 3.5”.
No prior virtualization experience is assumed or required. The course starts with the basics and progresses to more advanced topics, with more than 40% of class time devoted to labs. By the end of the course, attendees will have learned the benefits, mechanics and best practices of virtualization. Attendees will be able to design, implement, deploy, configure, monitor, manage, troubleshoot and secure virtual infrastructure.

Citrix Courses An exciting new development is the addition of Citrix training to our comprehensive curriculum. Courses are designed for IT Professionals wishing to install, set-up, tune and maintain servers and clients using Citrix XenApp 5.0 or Citrix Presentation Server 4.5. The training covers server farm installation, administration, publishing applications, desktops and content, printer management and universal print drivers, the web interface and tuning and troubleshooting. HPCP ProCurve and Sales training HOST are pleased to announce that we are now working in partnership with another UK ATC, HP Education Services. This agreement allows us to provide a schedule of HP ProCurve and HP Sales training to complement our existing offering of HP Certified Courses. The sales training offered covers courses from the Enterprise Solutions, Commercial Solutions and Storage Solutions areas. The ProCurve training offered covers sales and technical training at the AIS, ASE and MASE certification levels.
